What's new

Easen gets better every week

What changed, update by update. The Mac app updates itself and the web app is always current, so there is nothing to install.

Easen speaks up without being asked

Until now Easen waited for a question. It now also offers the point an experienced colleague would raise, and it shows you where every suggestion came from.

Worth raising

Every few minutes Easen checks whether there is something this meeting needs that nobody has said. If there is, it offers it, labelled "Worth raising" so you know why it spoke. It has to name the report, system or number it means, so it stays quiet rather than offer something generic.

Every source label is checked

"From past meetings" and a document's name appear under a suggestion only when it contains something that came from there and was not said in this meeting.

It leaves the chair's housekeeping alone

"Any questions?" and "Can we meet next week?" are someone running the meeting, not questions for you. Easen does not answer them.

A briefing you can read in ten seconds

Before a meeting, who you are meeting comes first, then anything to watch out for, then the rest. Work you have already finished no longer comes back as an open action.

A cleaner floating overlay

One suggestion at a time, with the reason and the source on their own lines and Copy one tap away. The overlay looks and works the same on Mac and on the web.

Quick Capture starts clean

A quick capture no longer picks up the title, people or documents of a meeting you had been preparing.

Everything Easen tells you can be traced

Insights, answers and commitments now show where they came from.

Insights name only people who were there

Each insight keeps the meetings and commitments it was built from, and names a person only when those records show them.

Ask Easen answers what you asked

General questions get a real answer. Answers about your own meetings say which meetings they came from.

One list of commitments

A commitment is overdue only when its due date has passed, and the count is the same everywhere you see it.

Decisions close their own to-dos

When a meeting settles something, the action item to settle it is closed for you.

The right call app

On Mac, Easen recognises the call app in front of you, including WhatsApp, Slack and Discord, and names none when it cannot tell.

Easen speaks only when it has something to add

A suggestion now has to bring something the room does not already have.

Answers earn their place

An answer has to add a detail from a past meeting, a document, a number, a name or a status. When Easen has nothing to add, it stays quiet.

Every suggestion you saw is kept

The meeting record keeps every card that was on screen, with the documents it drew on.

Instant corrections

Fixing a name or a term in a summary takes effect immediately, everywhere it appears, and can be undone.

Add documents while you set up

Upload reference material without leaving the meeting you are preparing. It is available straight away.

Suggestion frequency from the overlay

Choose Normal, Quieter or Off during a meeting, without opening Settings.

Mac app 1.0.54

Easen reads your documents

Upload what matters once, and Easen brings it into the meetings where it belongs.

Reference material in every meeting

Easen picks the documents that are relevant to the meeting you are in and shows you what it picked. Add or remove anything yourself, and what you remove stays out.

Quick Capture finds the document for you

As an unplanned conversation gets going, Easen works out what it is about and brings in the material that fits.

Scans and photos work too

Scanned PDFs and photographed pages are read on your own device. When Easen is unsure what it read, it says so rather than quote it as fact.

The first words count

Easen starts listening the moment your microphone is ready, so the opening of a call is in the transcript.

Chat knows the whole meeting

Ask a question during a meeting and Easen looks across everything said so far, not just the last few minutes.

Mac app 1.0.53

Before and after the meeting

Starting a meeting, ending one, and finding it afterwards all got easier.

Easen offers to start when a call begins

On Mac, when Zoom, Teams, Webex, FaceTime or a browser call starts, Easen offers to capture it. One offer per call, and you choose which apps.

Your summary is safe

If the app closes while a summary is being written, Easen finishes it the next time it opens.

Fewer guesses

A yes-or-no question about your own work needs a source in your meetings or memory before Easen answers it.

You decide how often it speaks

Suggestion frequency: Normal, Quieter or Off.

Your data, exported

Export everything Easen holds for you, including meetings and people, from Settings.

Who said what

The transcript credits the right person, even on laptop speakers.

Your name stays yours

Your turns stay labelled as you for the whole meeting, however you pace your speaking.

Speakers without the mix-ups

When the meeting plays through your laptop speakers, what the room said is not credited to you. Headphones are still the cleanest setup.
